R&D Department’s Dynamics & Rolling team’s leader at CAF

Joseba Murua is a vehicle dynamics engineer with industrial and academic experience in the railway and aeronautical sectors. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from TECNUN, as well as MSc and PhD degrees in fluid-structure interaction from Imperial College London. He has worked in mathematical modelling and numerical simulation of multibody systems, aerodynamics and elasticity; he also has experience in physical testing, both on tracks and in air.

Currently he leads the Dynamics & Rolling team in the R&D department of CAF, where he suffers, but also enjoys, the capriciousness of rubber and its impact on the train behaviour.
